Thank you for choosing EDGE Simulcast (powered by Velocicast) as your auction streaming service. This document will walk you through the required computer specifications and recommended streaming hardware to get your auction live streaming via EDGE Simulcast. You can use any capture device that your computer and web browser recognize as a webcam, but auctions using the equipment below have the best streaming experiences.
The focus of this document is for analog audio/video solutions. For IP Camera solutions, please refer to this IP Camera knowledge article.
Hardware Components
Computer Specifications
Block computer needed for every streaming lane, with the following specs:
8GB RAM
Windows 7+
Intel Core i3 processor or better
3 USB ports
Internal PCIe slot (if using internal video capture card)
Enough display ports for all block monitors and lane displays (HDMI is standard)
Streaming Camera
Camera DC Adapter
Capture Card(s)
Capture Card (Internal): Osprey 210e Video Capture Card
Capture Card (USB): Generic Capture Card
If this specific option is selected, please purchase a VCE F-Type Female to RCA Male Coaxial Cable Audio Adapter Gold Plated Connector.
Capture Card (USB): Dazzle DVCPTENAM adaptor
Please note, the software that installs with the Dazzle Video Capture device may cause glitching in newer PCs. It has to be installed to get the video capture device drivers. However, you HAVE to uninstall the Dazzle software without uninstalling the Dazzle USB driver from the control panel.

Testing Your Setup
After setting up a block computer please install Google Chrome (our preferred browser).
Video Testing: You can test the video feed by going to https://webcamtests.com/ If you see the video in that site, then it will work in Velocicast.
Audio Test: to test the mic: Go to Windows Audio settings and select the correct mic input. If you see the mic level going up and down when testing from the auctioneer mic then we will be able to use that input for Velocicast.
Very Important: You must launch the Velocicast streamer and then allow Chrome access to the camera and mic. This permission will be saved and will not be required each time you launch the streamer.
After launching the streamer, click the lock to the left of the url box:
Then click Site Settings:
The default for Camera and Mic is Ask:
Change to Allow:
Close the settings tab and reload the Streamer page by clicking the reload box under the url:
You will now have the installed camera and mic as selections in the streamer.
